Properties of shapes

At the end of this activity, students should be able to:
– recognise and characterise equilateral triangles, isosceles triangles and scalene triangles
– recognise and characterise acute triangles, right-angled triangles and obtuse triangles
– draw a triangle of given lengths of its sides
– recognise and characterise types of quadrilaterals: squares, rectangles, rhombuses, parallelograms, trapeziums and kites
– recognise and characterise regular polygons
– recognise and draw shapes that have reflection symmetry
– recognise and draw shapes that have rotation symmetry of a given order.
