At the end of this activity, students should be able to:

– explain the terms atomic mass and molecular mass
– find atomic masses of elements in the periodic table
– calculate the atomic mass of an element taking into account its isotopic composition
– calculate the isotopic composition of an element on the basis of its atomic mass
