At the end of this activity, students should be able to:
– describe the most important concepts of medical microbiology
– describe how people become infected with the Mycobacterium tuberculosis Salmonella typhi, Vibrio cholerae, Yersinia pestis and Treponema pallidum
– describe the most important risks associated with the diseases caused by these bacteria
– present the most important methods for avoiding infections with these bacteria
– give reasons for the introduction of public health regulations in order to combat infectious diseases.
