At the end of this activity, students should be able to:
– know how to detect sugars, reducing sugars, polysaccharides, fats and proteins in biological material
– define electrophoresis and describe the components of an electrophoresis unit and the principles of electrophoretic separation
– define chromatography and describe the components of a paper chromatography unit
– explain the concept of relative front and its application in chromatography.
