At the end of this activity, students should be able to: – describe the structure and functions of the nucleus, cytoplasm and cytosol – define the structure and functions of rough endoplasmic reticulum (RER), SER (smooth endoplasmic reticulum), ribosomes, the Golgi body and the cytoskeleton – describe the structure and role of cell wall and membrane – define the structure and function of the mitochondrion, chloroplast and vacuole – describe the structure of the cell and the basic roles of cellular organelles.
